Premier League fixture list is out…!

Ok, a tense time for any follower of the beautiful game (well, it is if you’re Barcelona!).

This season’s fixture list is out and Liverpool’s opening games are looking tough.

AUGUST:

13 – Sunderland (h)
20 – Arsenal (a)
27 – Bolton Wanderers (h)

SEPTEMBER:

10 – Stoke City (a)
17 – Tottenham Hotspur (a)
24 – Wolverhampton Wanderers (h)

OCTOBER:

1 – Everton (a)
15 – Manchester United (h)
22 – Norwich City (h)
29 – West Bromwich Albion (a)

So, in the first 8 games, we’re playing 3 ‘top 4’ (an old phrase but still has some meaning for some people) teams – two of those are AWAY at Arsenal and Spurs in the first 4 games! Added to this is another away game at Everton for the (always) lively local derby.

Looking at the middle of the season, these fixtures jumped out at me!

FEBRUARY:

4 – Tottenham Hotspur (h)
11 – Manchester United (a)
25 – Everton (h)

MARCH:

3 – Arsenal (h)

Four very hard games in a row, but three of them are at home.

The last games of the season are also exciting. There’s a good run leading up to the last two games, but then it gets hairy. Chelsea could be influential for the title race (if Chelsea are still in it) and the last game against Swansea away could be a relegation battle game, meaning very tough!

APRIL:

7 – Aston Villa (h)
9 – Blackburn Rovers (a)
14 – Fulham (h)
21 – West Bromwich Albion (h)
28 – Norwich City (a)

MAY:

5 – Chelsea (h)
13 – Swansea City (a)

I’m getting excited already!
