We’ve just got around to tipping out both of the potato bags and have managed to grow a fair few potatoes.
Type A started with only 3 potatoes and ended up with roughly 20 and Type B with 4 and finished with the same amount. Type A totalled 1.25KG which was a 5.1 times increase. Type B finished on almost exactly the same weight but it was a 6.4 times increase.
So, 2.5 KG of spuds from 450 grams, with almost zero effort. It seems from this there is a experiment that there is a 5.5 times increase. This is also useful for our upcoming allotment planning.
