Sunday football…!

Wow – two games that rocked the Premier League…

First was the Manchester derby at Old Trafford. A crushing 1-6 defeat for Sir Alex Ferguson. His worst defeat in 25 years at the club and United’s worst result since 1955! 7 yellow cards and 1 red. 13 minutes after Evans left the field, City were 2-0 up. 3 goals for City in the last 4 minutes of the game!

Next came QPR v Chelski. 9 cards for Chelsea, 2 of which were straight reds. 9 different players booked.

Chelsea and Man United loosing on the same day. City go 5 points clear at the top, with a huge +26 goal difference from only 9 games!

My prediction of the top 4 of United, City, Chelsea and Liverpool is starting to look shaky.

  1. This was an insane match, i was watching it on the edge of my sofa in the US – you may think on the edge of my sofa with anxiety – thing is, it was more because i knew what was going to happen, im a west london boy and this is a big west london derby – JT was fired up – and as for David luiz lol that was entertaining!

    • Just looking at the stats for this game is exciting. Can’t wait to see the highlights. looks like a feisty encounter. League: Chelsea for 3rd, LFC for 4th.

        • I want the reds to push for 1st (!!) but realistically, i’m suggesting 4th, with 3rd possible depending on the AVB effect. That’s not to underestimate the King Kenny effect though. Yes, i’m a Red since about 1992, but only more seriously from about 1998 onwards. we’re on for silverware this season. as soon as I saw the black away kit, I had a feeling we would win a trophy in it : )
