Dyson Airblade hand dryer: greenest method…?

About 6 months ago, we had Dyson Airblades installed in all of the toilets at work. Ok, big deal? Every time i’ve been in there i’ve wondered which is better to use for drying hands; recycled paper towels or the Airblade?

Well, i’ve just come across the answer. This Guardian article describes the MIT research into this issue and the overwhelming conclusion that the Airblade is by far the best option.

I’m convinced and i’ll now be using these instead of the paper towels!

  1. Not strange when Dyson paid for the report and come out the winner

and also no other jet hand dryers such as Mitsubishi Jet Towel were part of the report….Easy to be the best if you dont include all the competition.

    • Thanks for the comment – This always seems to be the case where funders come out looking good or their interests seen in a positive light. This is one of the first things I check for when looking at stuff like this. It would have been good to see the other brands of similar product but it does give a good comparison with the other forms of drying.
