A trip to London is never complete without some cultural experience thrown in. This time it was Tate Britain – the home of the British national collection of art, dating from around 1500 to the present.
30 minutes from Paddington on the Tube, got off at Pimlico and walked the 600m to the gallery.
A really inspiring collection which has recently been re-hung chronologically, meaning you could get a feel for the changing styles and trends through the art, with each room divided into a certain time period.
I have to admit I just dived straight in with no particular route or approach, with the Henry Moore sculptures being the first point of call. The range and diversity of works was impressive and a very well produced collection overall. I’ve taken away some useful ideas for my own projects as well. : )
